The autocallable market threatened to break in Q4 2018, and again in Covid, but markets rebounded before barriers were breached. This time it looks less likely to be saved.
well I've some experience with autocallables (or ELNs as we like to call these), however the ones we structure are mainly linked to US/HK stocks with the 'worst-off' feature. Many of these have KI'd and clients have received TDOC, 9988.HK so far, and going forward will unfortunately receive PYPL, DOCU, SQ, SE, ROKU etc...
Yes - thats the real problem with them - it converts from a "fixed income" product to an equity product at the absolutely worse time... Koreans also do single stocks autocallables. Popular names last month were AMD, Tesla and Samsung Electronics.
ulitmately the problem here is that regulators believe that regulate risk away, but the only way to properly stress the system is to have interest rates at 4 to 5%...
I agree with your format, its much better to have more of your insight & info at times of volatility when its helpful to decision making. I find it helpful anyway.... then again I'm not paying for your content yet. Perhaps your podcasts might get me in the financial position to do so ;-)
I prefer you uploading frequently on various topics rather than uploading fewer times. I enjoy the wide range of topics you discuss. I often find myself doing further research on interesting points you mention in your videos. I've enjoyed your investing style over the years and followed your 13F filings for great ideas. Thank you for your time and insight Russell. I hope more investors continue to subscribe and enjoy your content as much as I do!
More like I developed my money managing style during a period when politics did not matter, and I am happy to be out of markets while politics is the only thing that matters...
Russell it would be great if paid subs got some recommendations on how to trade your "ideas" ; its always great to translate some of these concepts into a trade (short term vs long term). thoughts? keep the content coming !!!!
Given the format / style I don't think its too much content. The Why and How are more important right now.

I am also seeing if publishing research can become a reasonable living for me... you never know until you try...
