I enjoyed this because it’s so counter to what my perception is. Can we really say that China is offering more access to its markets to other Asian trading partners? I don’t see them offering an exchange like the US did during the Cold War.

What’s interesting about these late elderly gentlemen is that they were still relevant until their passing. Not a common thing for people pushing 100.

US was only open to trade with western allies during the cold war. After the collapse of the soviet union did trade really take off
