Yes ok... I think your theory on natality could make sense based purely on economic & political logic - but IMHO you are not taking enough into account the increasingly challenged social and psychic dimension of the world. There is in general, particularly in the West, a growing trend toward indivudialism and more importantly i believe. A growing lack of sense of purpose in life and/or confusion magnified by social media (record high number of depressions. Add to this a consistently fed sentiment of "fear" for the future, enhanced by the media induced crisis such as Covid, Climate change etc.. - i m afraid no fiscal policies, as generous as it could be would could change easily such deep cracks in the collective consciousness. I m guessing any additional cash/help would go directly into individually spent pleasures...I mean just look at the downward natality trend in 2021 and 2022 in the midst of the largest fiscal package ever in the West....What do you think ?
I do feel that a shift to pro-labour policies with better wages and job security would change the problems above.. and certainly I think very high property prices are a brake on fertility rates.
Fear always exists... after the invention of nuclear war in 1945 why should anyone have a baby - and yet a baby boom ensued. I think we need to.be aware of the possibility and then see if there are any signs of it actually happening
Very interesting. but how do you lead the population to believe that we need more people on the planet ?...
Well if you make having kids more affordable through higher wages and cheaper property prices would be one way...

Did you happen to read the Economist article “The New Asian Family”? I’m still scratching my head about it from early July.
