I ran a competition to find the best finance haiku last year and was overwhelmed by the response.
From over 50 submissions last year our winner was this beauty from Kevin:
Bull slips on black ice—
Frantic dance of hope and fear
Fortune rolls her dice
I give you this haiku as my 2025 offering:
The majestic Brumby
Far from the stampeding herd
Fearing coming cold
Think you can do better?!? (I really hope so!) I am offering a free 6 month paid subscription to the winner. You have two weeks - you can reply directly to this post or in the comments.
If you have never written a haiku they are a poem of three lines with 5 syllables in first line followed by 7 and then 5 again. It should reference nature in some way. Good luck!
